The former soccer player, 36, who took to Instagram with his new love, 23, last week was spotted in his car with the PR student.
He split from Shakira, 45, in June 2022 after a 12-year romance amid cheating allegations. She’s since made a thinly veiled smack at her “surrogate” in the lyrics of her latest song.
Gerard looked casual, wearing a black knit hat and buttoned-up denim shirt, as he got behind the wheel.
Clara shielded her face with vintage white-framed sunglasses, with her blonde hair falling in front of her face.

While her long caramel tresses were allowed to fall freely in a sleek straight style, she added a red Dolce & Gabbana baseball cap over it.
Shakira was swarmed by fans as she left the Spanish city and waved to the crowd below.

Local residents in the area have reported that from their Spanish home, Shakira “blasted the song at full volume,” which contains lyrics aimed at his new girlfriend.
Shakira makes it clear she’s referring to the 23-year-old her former partner is now dating, saying: “I’m worth two 22s. They exchanged a Ferrari for a Twingo. You traded in a Rolex for a Casio.”
While Shakira’s new song has some conflicting lyrics aimed at Gerard and his supposed new love Clara Chia Marti, it also includes a few choice words for her ex-mother-in-law.
In the song, she sings the line, “You left my mother-in-law to be my neighbor, with the press at the door and the debt in the treasury…”
After Shakira’s punch in the song, which has since topped Spotify’s global charts, Gerard decided to officially go on Instagram with his girlfriend Clara.
Last week, he settled into a happy selfie with his new love – which quickly garnered a million likes.
