Gerard Butler almost killed Hilary Swank during filming PS I love you in 2007a film in which the actors share the limelight.

The 53-year-old British actor admitted this in an interview on the Drew Barrymore Show.
The event happened during a scene where his character, Gerry Kennedy, is dancing in his underwear with suspenders. He was supposed to be hit in the face with the suspenders, but the 48-year-old actress was hit instead.
“She is so good and so nice; I almost killed her,” Butler began.
“The metal clip landed on her forehead and cut her right off. She had to be transported to the hospital,” explained actor Drew Barrymore.
“Within three seconds the studio was empty and I was crying in my underwear,” laughed the 300 star.
“I scarred Hilary Swank, almost knocked her out of my eye and looked like a total jerk for two days,” he joked.
