In the state of Georgia, the special grand jury investigating attempts by Trump and his allies to overturn the results of the 2020 US presidential election found that at least one witness committed perjury while testifying. The revelation came after a small five-page excerpt from the report prepared by the grand jury was released on Thursday. It remains unclear who the panel believes should be charged with crimes other than perjury or what Georgia laws may have been broken. Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis said last month that decisions on who will be prosecuted are “imminent.”
