‘I’m waiting!’ Gemma Owen lashes out at Luca Bish as she reveals they’re not STILL official two weeks after leaving villa on Love Island
Gemma Owen is still waiting for Luca Bish to make their romance official.
The Love Island couple came second in this year’s series and despite Gemma leaving the villa over two weeks ago, she has revealed they are neither boyfriend nor girlfriend.
Fans of the show saw Gemma, 19, say to Luca, 23, that she wanted to wait until he met her family before they were official, but even after her boyfriend got the thumbs up from her footballer dad, Michael, is waiting Gemma still.

Luca hinted he had big plans during the couple’s recent trip to Portugal, where the fishmonger met Gemma’s father.
But during an interview on Wednesday, Gemma revealed she’s “still” waiting for a romantic gesture and there are “no updates”.
In a chat on Capital FM, she was asked: “Is this like an act of waiting, do you want it to happen?” to which Gemma replied: “Well I feel like at this point, yes!”

Host Lauren Layfield then told the rider, ‘You’ve been waiting a while now and we’ve all been waiting, so now I want proposal levels where I’m asking you out, you know, I mean I want it big!’
Gemma replied: “I mean I know I said at the villa lets wait till we get out wants you to meet the family let’s not rush it but now I think okay…”
While her Love Island co-stars Davide and Ekin-Su share plans to move in together in Essex, Gemma said she and Luca are far from that stage, explaining:

Gemma has revealed Luca got the “thumbs up” from her dad Michael.
Speaking on The Six O’Clock Show, the dressage rider said they got “approval” from her athletic father after spending time together in Portugal.

Gemma detailed: “Family thumbs up, very good. We had a little trip, a little work, a little relaxation, met them all there. That was really positive and very nice.
“Now we have the approval, the ball is his. I’m just waiting for him.’
Confirming the couple isn’t “official” yet, she added, “I’m not picky at this point, no grand gesture, just something nice. Let’s just put a label on it.’
Amazing: On The Six O’Clock Show, the dressage rider opened up about Lucas’ meetings with the former footballer, adding that they “got the approval”.
Addressing Brian Dowling and Fionnuala Jones, Gemma continued: “Everyone asks me, ‘Are you and Luca official yet?’ We basically live like we’re official, but we just don’t have that label.
Luca and Michael’s meeting had been prepared for weeks. The fishmonger only had the chance to meet Gemma’s mother Louise during the Love Island episode “Family Reunion”.
Michael kept a low profile during his daughter’s appearance on the notoriously racy ITV2 show after initially admitting it was “a father’s worst nightmare”.
