Luckily, the man paid attention to what fell out of the trash and was able to get the kittens out of the truck.

These 5 kittens would have died if a careful garbage collector hadn’t rescued them in time. And this is not the first time this man has faced this situation. The association that took care of the little ones calls for generosity in order to be able to offer the cats all the care they need. A story told by KFSM 5NEWS.

An amazing discovery in household waste collection

This discovery took place at Fort Smith in the southern United States. While making his rounds at the garbage disposal, a man saw 5 kittens fall out of the garbage can he was emptying and landed on the truck’s garbage heap. He got into the truck and looked for them all. The babies were just born.

“They were on the bottom of a bin and thrown into the truck. I was the one who got into the truck and pulled her out of there,” he said.

It was obviously a voluntary renunciation. The garbage man also explained that he had already found a kitten in this garbage can a few weeks earlier. He then decided to adopt her.

Unfortunately, no surveillance camera could identify the perpetrator because “it’s just a service road in the country,” explained the rescuer.

The association that took care of the little ones calls for generosity

A local charity, The Artemis Project, launched a call for generosity on Facebook to help the kittens. “We urgently need a bottle as well as a pacifier and baby food! If you are interested in buying kitten supplies, please see our wish list below. […] You can also make a donation towards the purchase of these materials. We appreciate your help!” they wrote.

While waiting for foster families to call in, the kittens are being looked after by refuse collectors, who said: “The kittens are doing very well. You just took a nap on a full stomach. I think I’ll keep one to keep company with the one I adopted the last time this happened.”
