Francesca Michielin snaps at those who criticize her physical appearance | Gramellini’s coffee

Every day there is someone who can’t take it anymore. Yesterday it was the turn of singer Francesca Michielin, one of the most graceful and sensitive people I know. Tired of reading the comments of unknown emeritus debating her pimples, she blurted out, We don’t know how to do the Cs anymore. our!.

He’s right, but we didn’t even know how to do that before. The only difference is that the victim almost never knew about it before.

It would be reassuring if social networks were to blame, which, according to Michielin, have made us have an opinion on everything and convince ourselves that we have the truth in our pockets. It is actually human nature that has backbiters and know-it-alls in its gene pool.

A motto of Renaissance Florence admonished: Always remember that men’s eyes and ears are evil. And, going back even further, Plutarch relates that when the exile of the honest politician Aristides was being voted on in Athens, an uneducated voter approached him and, without recognizing him, asked him to write his approval on the pot. Aristide asked: What did Aristide do wrong for you? And the other one: Nothing, but I’m pissed off when I hear from everyone that he’s a good person!

I hate to imagine what that ancient Greek voter would have done with a phone in his hand. But it wouldn’t have been better or worse than Michielin’s followers. When it comes to putting others down, humanity shows a fierce resistance to evolution.
