Four rude Cal State students bully a Hispanic grocer about the price of his $7 hot dogs

Four foul-mouthed women were filmed harassing a San Diego grocer about the price of his $7 hot dogs – with one even licking off groceries she didn’t buy.

A clip of the bullying shows the four young women – who look worse – addressing the Hispanic salesman while one of the quartet calls him a loser.

The women, whose identities have not been confirmed, then toss the food around his shopping cart while another threatens, “If you charge me $7 I’ll fuck you up.”

The vendor, identified as Andrés Argüelles Álvarez, remains calm at first, imploring her to stop and stay away from his cart. Eyewitnesses said he did nothing to provoke the onslaught of abuse.

At one point, one of the women can be seen picking up some of the ingredients before licking them together with her fingers and then placing them back on the cart’s hot plate. Other women were also seen scratching and eating food on the hot plate, and their unsanitary behavior prompted Alvarez to lash out at them.

“Can you please move?” asks Álvarez as the women laugh in his face.

“To be honest, she doesn’t do anything,” replies one of the women, speaking slurred.

“We’re not doing anything,” protests another of the women.

“But what if we want another hot dog, should we move? No, we shouldn’t!’ says the loudest of the women loudly. “Shall we move, sir? No, we shouldn’t!’ She keeps going.

Another woman, who was relatively calm, then reaches over with her arm to try and grab another piece of food, angering Alvarez.

“Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey! To stop!’ he yells, holding out cooking tongs as he gestures for the women to get off his cart once and for all.

Student universities have now launched an investigation into the behavior of the four people, although they have so far refused to confirm the identity of anyone responsible for the harassment.

According to the LA Times, one of the women is a Cal State San Marcos alumnus and another is an alumni.

A third woman who filmed the incident is also studying there. Cal State declined to provide their names but said an investigation was ongoing and condemned the conduct.

The argument appeared to start when the women grew unhappy after learning of the cost of Álvarez’s $7 hot dogs.

The foursome urged Alvarez to sell them at a cheaper price, which he refused and told them to leave.

But the women seemed to have too much fun mocking the vendor, and they began touching, throwing, and eating the food that was cooking on the grill.

“They hand grabbed my bacon, all my veggies, everything I use,” Álvarez told Telemundo.

“People recognized all the dirty things they were doing and it disgusted them. They didn’t want to buy anymore.

“They realized that I’m Mexican, that I don’t speak English very well, and they thought, ‘Ah, we can attack him,'” Álvarez believes.

A witness to the incident, Morgan McBrearty, said she saw the women “already there molesting Andrés”.

McBrearty told NBC News that she stepped in to defend Alvarez “after repeatedly hearing and seeing her speak to him in rude and condescending tones” and grabbing food from his shopping cart.

But even after McBrearty left, “the girls still molested him.”

Another student who shot the footage, Riley Kaufman, said Alvarez “did nothing to provoke this. It was just the girls walking in mad and drunk and ready to start something.’

“The hot dog vendor is also the cutest man,” Kaufman added.

San Diego State University released a statement, noting that while it has not confirmed whether the other two students in the video were from SDSU, it is nonetheless conducting an investigation. “We thank those who quickly reported this incident to the university. The actions of the people in the video are disturbing and inappropriate.

“While individual names have been shared online, those involved have not yet been confirmed to be SDSU students. SDSU’s Center for Student Rights and Responsibilities is reviewing the video and is asking everyone who has specific information about what happened and those involved to report information as soon as possible

“SDSU holds members of its community to standards of behavior related to the safety of individuals and communities, and the behavior of the individuals in the video does not reflect what we expect of our community members.”

California State University San Marcos released a similar statement, stating, “The actions in this video are extremely disrespectful to the provider and violate university values and the behavior we expect from members of our community,” Margaret said Chantung, spokeswoman for Cal State San Markus.

“Our dean of studies is investigating the matter to determine more precisely what happened.”
