Defenseman Maveric Lamoureux signed his three-year entry-level contract with the Arizona Coyotes on Wednesday.

The financial terms of the 29th overall winner’s first professional contract in the National Hockey League’s most recent draft have not been specified.
“He’s a big, strong and physical full-back while also being a very good skater and having a great shot. We look forward to seeing his progress this season,” club boss Bill Armstrong said in a statement.
Last season, Lamoureux recorded four goals and 20 assists for 24 points in 54 games with the Drummondville Voltigeurs of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. The 18-year-old, 6-foot-7, had 31 points, including five goals, in 78 career games with his junior team.
