Fire injures one in Ahuntsic-Cartierville; the police are investigating

One person was found unconscious after a fire broke out at an apartment building on Gouin Boulevard near Dupont Street in the Ahuntsic-Cartierville district, according to Caroline Chèvrefils, spokeswoman for the Montreal City Police Department (SPVM).

According to preliminary information, the victim, a man in his 70s, was located by police when they arrived at the scene around 9 p.m. on Saturday.

She was immediately taken to a hospital where she is currently in critical condition.

The SPVM has not yet commented on the nature of the fire. There are currently no criminal elements associated with this case.

No other people were injured in the fire.

The investigation is currently underway to try to determine the circumstances of this event.
