Finland, controversy over images of Sanna Marin dancing at party. The Premier defends itself: “Private Moments” Video

The Finnish Prime Minister returns to the pages of the newspapers for her private habits. Sanna Marin, 36, was filmed at a party with friends during the celebrations. The images of the premiere dancing and having fun ended up in the national media online, provoking the outrage of part of the country’s citizens Finland. Some have accused Marin of drug use, citing a word heard during the video which, in Finnish slang, means cocaine. But the prime minister defended herself: “I never said that word or took drugs, I just had some alcohol. I have no problem taking a test,” he commented. “They were private videos and I don’t know how they got online“. In the pictures you can see Marin dancing to the notes of well-known national rap artists such as Petri Nygård and Antti Tuisku in the company of well-known faces of the Finnish jet set. According to the newspaper Iltalehti, which first published the story, the photographer and influencer also immortalized in the video Janita Audiothe conductors Tinni Wikstrom and Carolina Tuominenthe designer Vesa Silver and the deputy Ilmari Nurminen.

The PM’s habits first came under the spotlight during the pandemic. In December 2021, Marin left his work phone at home during a night out at the club. On that occasion, the Prime Minister missed a call from her security team, who wanted to warn her that she had been in contact with someone who had tested positive for coronavirus. “I’m very sorry I didn’t understand that I should have acted differently,” Marin wrote in an apologetic post on Facebook. A photo of her wearing denim shorts later went viral at the Turku Rock Festival. Recently her photographer Janita Autio posted a photo on Instagram of her posing in party dresses at the Flow Festival in Helsinki.
