At the end of its 2nd season, on April 12, the program Marie-Claude, hosted by Marie-Claude Barrette, will not be renewed.

Since her debut on Deux filles le matin in 2009, Ms. Barrette has been following viewers daily throughout the week on TVA. The broadcaster says it wants to make changes to its morning lineup next fall.
“Unfortunately my contract will not be renewed even though the show is still number 1 in its slot. Even if you see it coming, it’s a painful announcement. I’ve picked up each of the shows with such bliss. All of these encounters have changed my life,” the host wrote on her Facebook page.
“We are proud and grateful that we could count on Marie-Claude Barrette’s talent, professionalism and great sensitivity as a presenter. Thanks to her open mind, her sense of humor and her closeness to people, she responded to viewers’ concerns,” emphasized Nathalie Fabien, Senior Director, Channels and Programming, Groupe TVA.
“I’m going to finish my current season and put so much heart and soul into my remaining shows. As for what’s next, I’ve got a few projects simmering already. I will tell you in the coming weeks,” wrote Marie-Claude Barrette on Facebook.
