Jean Paulo Campos, former Carrossel (SBT), rises to prominence on Globo’s canvas. The actor plays Yuri in Vai na Fé, a religiousthemed series created to engage the channel’s Christian audience. The character will have an LGBTQIA+ romance with a college friend. It turns out that the news displeased a segment of the public, who took to social media to criticize the conspiracy involving a homosexual couple.
Fred (Henrique Barreira) will be the new passion of Yuri. According to Observatório da TV, the story will unfold after Otávio (Gabriel Contente)’s involvement with Jenifer (Bella Campos). Barreira’s character is a typical student bully and the issue of acceptance is also brought up as he will try to suppress his own feelings. Some viewers didn’t like Globo’s decision to include a gay couple in the storyline, which is about faith and spiritualitywhich was pinned on the internet.
