Félix Roy: a prestigious steering wheel for a talented sound driver

Félix Roy will defend the colors of the prestigious ONE team, one of the stock car powerhouses on Quebec clay courts.

The Napierville driver, who is said to be one of the specialty’s greatest hopes, will have a blast driving a car in GM Paillé livery at the 2023 Autodrome Drummond in eight race programs in the Modified 358 class.

His first appearance is scheduled for May 13th. If his busy schedule allows, other events could be added to his calendar.

He will join veteran David Hébert, the ONE Team rider who has racked up 19 championships in his distinguished career.

“I’m flattered to have been selected by this organization which over the years has learned to win. She was looking for a motivated driver and I want to show them she made the right choice,” said Roy, who just celebrated his 18th birthday.

Four days in Florida

As for Jean-Claude Paillé, a personality very involved in the world of motorsport, he did not hide his joy after confirming Roy’s hiring.

“We are proud to have such a promising driver on track with our company. It reflects the values of our extended family,” said the president of the number 1 dealership in Canada, based in Berthierville.

Like last year, driver Daphné Hébert, daughter of David, will also defend Paillé’s colors in the Sportsman class.

Despite his busy schedule, Félix Roy found the time to come to Quebec and drive aboard this car prepared by the King Autosport team, run by his father Martin.

Roy begins his season on Wednesday night with four appearances at the Super DIRTcar Nationals, the high-profile competition held at the Volusia complex, located about forty kilometers from the legendary Daytona Circuit in Florida.

It’s an impressive tally of one hundred races that are on Roy’s agenda in 2023, where he primarily intends to take on the sand elite on America’s circuits.

Despite everything, he will also find himself behind the wheel of his own car from the team managed by his father Martin at certain events in Quebec, at the Autodrome Granby and at the RPM Speedway in Saint-Marcel-de-Richelieu.
