One of the biggest presenters on Brazilian TV and for about 30 years he was the face of TV Globo on Sundays and although he was threatened by Gugu with his Domingo Legal on SBT for a time, he has been an isolated leader for most of his history.
And his success on television mirrors his success in business as well, as Fausto Silva reached a mark that few Brazilians achieve: that of a billionaire.
The information came from UOL columnist Ricardo Feltrin, who conducted a survey with a market specialist and estimated the net worth of the band’s host at R$1.1 billion today.
Still, he’s not the only billionaire in Brazil and is surpassed by two other names, both from SBT.
First on the list, the wealthiest, is the owner of SBR himself, Silvio Santos, who would own around R$1.5 billion in cash, goods and applications alone. But he goes much further when analyzing the value of the station, Jequiti, Tele Sena and his other companies.
But Faustão is also surpassed by Ratinho, who is not well known to many but owns the SBT subsidiary in his state and also invests in several other companies. Two years ago he even bought a radio network in São Paulo for R$50 million.
According to Feltrin, his fortune could reach almost R$1.5 billion.
