EXCLUSIVE: Neighbors star Ryan Moloney recalls the ‘shock’ moment he was told the soap was returning – and reveals what it’s really like working with new actors on the show
Ryan Moloney has spoken out about the moment he found out Neighbors would be returning.
The 43-year-old, who plays Toadie Rebecchi, told Chron Australia on Tuesday it was “a huge shock” to learn the soap was returning to television just months after airing its final episode in July last year be seen.
“It was such a big shock.” “We were all saying goodbye to the neighbors and some of us had sold houses, moved away and our children had changed schools, so it was a completely unexpected pleasant shock,” he said.

Ryan revealed the series began filming in April and he’s “glad he can finally talk about it” after the first episode aired last week.

“I’m just so happy we’re finally on the air.” “We started filming in April, so we’ve been working for a while and I’m glad we can talk about it,” he added .
The actor also said it was really “nice and fun” to work with several new cast members on the series.
“Actually everyone is very, very nice.” “It was nice, pleasant and enjoyable,” Ryan continued.
He revealed that there will be a lot of drama in the first 15 episodes of the series.
