Ellie Goulding has reportedly written a racy song about her love life with husband Caspar Jopling.

The 36-year-old singer reportedly introduced the track, titled “Waiting For It,” in a small gig, where she joked about the “mood” she was in when she wrote the lyrics.

The track, which reportedly contains lewd lyrics about intimate escapades, will appear on Ellie’s forthcoming fifth album, Higher Than Heaven.

According to The Sun, the song includes the lyrics: “We can f*** the world away, I’ve been reconditioning into new positions.”

It reportedly adds, “Pour yourself in my cup, let it drip on my fingers, but it’s never enough, I want it again.”

As Ellie sang the track on stage, she reportedly joked, “You can tell the mood I was in when I wrote this song.”

Lovebirds Ellie and her art dealer Beau Caspar, 31, tied the knot in August 2019 and welcomed their first child Arthur, two, in April 2021.

Ellie recently said of her new album, “It’s about being passionately in love. But it’s a hyper form of love, almost like a drug-induced feeling.’

The star pushed back the release of her fifth album, Higher Than Heaven, from February 3 to March 24 due to “exciting behind-the-scenes opportunities.”

Taking to Instagram to make the announcement, she tried to assuage fans’ disappointment as she revealed a teaser of her single Like A Savior.

Alongside a look at her new music video, Ellie wrote, “To my incredible fans – I’m sorry to announce that we’re pushing back the release of Higher Than Heaven to March 24th.

“I know you’ve all been so patient with me, but we’ve had some exciting behind-the-scenes opportunities that I can’t wait to share with you when the time comes.

“In the meantime, as a thank you for your patience, I’m happy to confirm that my new single is called ‘Like A Saviour’. It’s coming soon, we shot the video and it’s one of my favorite videos I’ve ever made.

Speaking recently about her forthcoming album, the singer admitted, “There was definitely darkness [the past two years] that was noticeable in the studio, everyone experienced it differently.

“I think that’s why no one wanted to sit and agonize over a relationship or drama. That’s how this album came about.”
