“Evelyn H. Lauder co-founded the Pink Ribbon and founded The Estée Lauder Companies’ breast cancer campaign when she realized that women around the world were dying of breast cancer and nobody was talking about it,” she began.
“Ironically, around the same time, I had lost my beloved grandmother to breast cancer — she put off going to the doctor for a year and never spoke about it,” the Austin Powers star began.
“Now, three decades later, it is heartening to see that breast cancer is no longer the taboo it once was.

“More and more people are talking about it, and there has been a significant increase in awareness and access to information about breast cancer. But we still need to do more to improve self-control rates, knowing that early detection saves lives.”
This comes as a new study published by The Estée Lauder Companies (ELC) UK & Ireland found eight out of 10 women do not regularly check their breasts for signs of cancer and more needs to be done to encourage everyone to do so to look for signs of cancer disease.
