Newlywed TV star Zane is splitting from artist Nettie
After courting women like The Voice host Emma Willis, Sarah Harding, the late Girls Aloud singer, and Sadie Frost, TV host Alex Zane finally settled down with trendy artist Nettie Wakefield last summer.
However, I understand the couple have already split just under five months into their London wedding reception.
“Late last year we decided to separate,” confirms Zane, 43, who proposed to Nettie, 35, in 2018. “We are leaving each other in the best possible way for two people who have shared incredible experiences filled with love and laughter and as many happy memories as two people can make at this time.
“We remain best friends even though we’ve decided to go our separate ways.”

The Yorkshire man added: “Of course, leaving a relationship is never easy, but we move forward knowing we can count on each other. It is as amicable a separation as can be and of course we will continue to raise our Whippet Simon together.”
I’m told Nettie, who was previously snapped by Poldark heartthrob Aidan Turner and linked to Twilight star Robert Pattinson, is being comforted by model Owen McGinnity, who was pictured with his arm around her last October.
Nettie, whose artwork hangs at the Groucho Club, has tied the knot with Zane during the pandemic, but they have been forced to limit the number of their wedding guests due to Covid restrictions, as was the big celebration last August.
Zane made his name on Channel 4 co-hosting Popworld with Alexa Chung and the Rude Tube clip show.
After proposing to Nettie, a source reportedly said, “He has a huge crush on him and soon realized he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her.”

Queen guitarist Sir Brian May and his wife, former EastEnders star Anita Dobson, looked like part of the cast as they turned up to see Cirque Du Soleil’s latest show Kurious at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
The circus extravaganza is themed “Steampunk” – a science fiction genre inspired by steam-powered industrial machines of the 19th century.
And the rocker, 75, and Dobson, 73, came in unusual costumes to match the motto of the evening. “We were already into steampunk, so we thought we’d try it,” Sir Brian tells me.

Strictly Come Dancing star Tony Adams has canceled plans for a stable conversion at his £3.5million Cotswolds mansion after bats were found on the roof.

Omid Scobie is the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s most loyal lapdog, but Harry still gave him a good kick in his memoir.
