Ed Sheeran was pictured for the first time with his four-week-old newborn daughter on Wednesday as he enjoyed a sun-soaked stroll with his family.

The 31-year-old singer shocked fans in May when he revealed he and wife Cherry Seaborn had secretly welcomed another daughter and announced he was “over the moon to be a family of four.”

Ed appeared to be enjoying fatherhood as he rocked his little one on a stroll through Kensington Palace Gardens in London while Cherry pushed their older daughter Lyra, 22 months, in a buggy.

The new family appeared to be in good spirits on the outing as they made the most of the warm weather by strolling across the green and stopping to show Lyra the geese by the pond.

Ed kept things low-key for the outing, pairing a white long-sleeved shirt with black shorts and brightly colored trainers.

He protected himself from the sun by wearing a navy blue baseball cap with sunglasses and a black face mask.

New mom Cherry looked radiant as she stepped out in a floral shirt and khaki sneakers, which she paired with chunky hi-top Nike trainers.

The duo made for the perfect family as they snuggled up close on their walk, with Cherry making sure the family were all protected from the sun by regularly handing out sunscreen.

The outing comes just four weeks after Ed announced the shock news from the family that they’ve secretly welcomed another child.

The Shape Of You hitmaker took to Instagram to share a pair of white baby shoes, which he captioned: “I want to let you all know that we’ve had another beautiful baby girl. We are both so in love with her and over the moon to be a family of 4.

The couple welcomed older daughter Lyra Antarctica in August 2020.

Ed’s Instagram post was met with a plethora of congratulatory messages from his fans.

Surprise! The outing comes just four weeks after Ed revealed the family’s shock news that they had secretly welcomed another child, saying he and Cherry were “over the moon”.

The star had similarly announced Lyra’s birth, sharing a snap of her baby socks on a blanket alongside his message.

The couple reportedly only confided about the pregnancy to their closest family members.

Ed’s rep confirmed, “Ed and Cherry recently had a beautiful baby girl and are on cloud nine.

“They are so excited that Lyra is having a baby sister and the four of them are enjoying quality family time before Ed goes back on tour.

“We are happy for them and hope they can respect their privacy at this special time.”

Cherry was last seen in public in February attending the BRIT Awards with her husband.

She also attended the University of Cambridge to earn her Postgraduate Certificate in Sustainable Business – a program aimed at developing insights that make sustainability sense for business and empowering leaders to drive organizational change.

Speaking on the Open House Party podcast in June, Ed revealed that he would be “super grateful” to add more members to his family.

The West Yorkshire-born star said: “Obviously I would be super grateful if I could have more children but I think girls far outweigh boys. As a boy, I feel like I can say that.

“I feel like we were so lucky to have one that I think I’d obviously love him more. But I think we’re lucky enough to only have one. So when nothing else happens I’m basically so happy.’

In November, Ed revealed that having his daughter Lyra Antarctica was a “blessing” and a “miracle” after struggling to conceive with his wife Cherry, 30.

The singer shared how the couple booked doctor’s appointments to check if everything was okay after “trying to have a child for a while”.

They then welcomed their first child last August after conceiving naturally during a vacation to Antarctica in 2019 — which inspired the unusual name.

He told The Breakfast Club on US radio: “We had been trying to have a kid for a while and we started going to doctors and finding out what was going on.

“I thought it was a miracle, so I thought we should have that in the name.

“A lot of it is mental. It’s about relaxation. So many of my friends have tried different things like IVF or making sure you have sex at the right time on the right day and then they go to a wedding and get mad and relax and get pregnant.

He added: “It doesn’t come naturally. It’s a real blessing when it happens.

But he admitted Lyra might not have liked hearing why she got the nickname. “She’s getting older and she’s like, ‘Urgh’!” said Ed.

Meanwhile, Ed revealed in December that he’s finding it “really difficult” to be apart from his daughter Lyra, and she’s given him a “purpose” outside of his career.

Speaking on The Ellen Degeneres Show, the chart-topper admitted he’s had a hard time being apart from Lyra and his wife Cherry, even for a few days.

He said: “I really love being a dad. I started out with my job being my hobby and one day I got paid for it and it became my job.

“I just found that I had no purpose outside of that. When I gave myself a regular break from work, I didn’t do anything I enjoyed because I love music.

“Actually, I find it really difficult to be away. There was talk of maybe bringing Cherry and Lyra over here, and jet lag is just no fun for a baby.

Ed and Cherry were children’s favorites since they grew up together in the same town.

They rekindled their romance in 2014 and tied the knot in a small ceremony five years later.

“The actual wedding of me and Cherry was a tiny affair with hardly anyone present,” Ed revealed to fellow musician Jessie Ware on her podcast Table Manners.

“We did it at night, on a random day in mid-January, in the middle of nowhere,” the singing hitmaker added.

“Nobody knew, nobody came in, we lit candles and we got married, went back and had a curry.”
