One third of the value of the goods is exported to Germany

Four billion euros worth of Austrian agricultural goods went to Germany from January to September 2022. This represents about a third of Austrian agricultural export products.

Agriculture Minister Norbert Totschnig (ÖVP) emphasizes: “Germany is a very important market. That is why we are also present here. Bettina Habel from Vulcano Schinkenmanufaktur represents Styria: “The visitors here are very open and really like the products, especially the dried ham and the various sausages are very well received here.”

Colorful travel around the world

For visitors, “Green Week” in Berlin promises a journey around the world. In addition to Austria, countries from all over the world are presented on thousands of square meters, from cuisine to handicrafts, from forest and nature to touch, to the theme of innovations, the range extends. You walk through the halls with your eyes open, says National Agricultural Council spokesman Andreas Kühberger (ÖVP): “Of course you have your eyes open, as a politician you are also there to see the innovations. You don’t have to reinvent everything, you can also take something home and implement it.”
