EA SPORTS PGA TOUR launches March 24, 2023 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via the EA App, Steam and the Epic Games Store. Pre-sale for EA SPORTS PGA TOUR, the only game to include all four major men’s golf tournaments – the Masters, PGA Championship, US Open Championship and The Open – has begun.
Additionally, the EA SPORTS PGA TOUR will launch with the Road to the Masters game mode, which will bring trivia and challenges with Augusta National, Masters-related challenges, tournaments, and gear. The Masters made their first-ever virtual appearance at the 2011 EA SPORTS PGA TOUR, and golf fans overwhelmingly called for a return to a video game. EA SPORTS will provide more details on additional live service content throughout the 2023 PGA TOUR and LPGA TOUR seasons.

Pure Strike gives golf enthusiasts all the tools they need to realistically attack every hole on every course, just like the pros. With ShotLink® powered by CDW and TrackMan, Pure Strike also makes it possible to reproduce each professional player’s unique swings and attributes. Pure Strike encompasses all three aspects of every shot – swing mechanics, which relates to backswing length and follow-through speed, innovative ball behavior that allows each bounce to be accurately responded to through a variety of terrain and course conditions, and as well as the realistic price dynamics that relate to their real-world twins.
In addition to being the only game to feature all four major men’s tournaments, EA SPORTS PGA TOUR is packed with experiences and content players have been looking for in a golf game, including:
– The most famous golf courses in the world – You have the opportunity to tee off at 30 courses including many of the most famous destinations such as Augusta National Golf Club, Pebble Beach Golf Links, Southern Hills Country Club, The Old Course at St Andrews Links, The Country Club, Kiawah Island Golf Ocean Course des Resorts, Torrey Pines, Evian Resort Golf Club in Évian-les-Bains in France, East Lake Golf Club, TPC Southwind, The Los Angeles Country Club, Wilmington Country Club and more. EA SPORTS PGA TOUR will also include courses that hosted major tournaments in 2021 and 2022, as well as new courses from major tournaments in 2023 that will be released after the game launches.
– career mode – EA SPORTS PGA TOUR will offer players a progression tree similar to RPGs in Road to Masters. As their level of play improves, they get closer to winning a major tournament. Players have the opportunity to create and customize a player, develop their skills and master each circuit to attack each hole like a professional player. With 20 shot types available to them throughout the game, they can improve their drive, approach, short game and putting skills according to their style. Players have the opportunity to become a major tournament winner and compete in the biggest PGA TOUR FedExCup events throughout the season, as well as top amateur championship tournaments including the Augusta National Women’s Amateur, the US Amateur and other top international amateur Tournaments Tournaments.
– THE PLAYERS Championship and the FedExCup Playoffs – The PLAYERS Championship and all three FedExCup Playoffs events are part of the game, and players can earn FedExCup Points in Career Mode to qualify for the FedExCup Playoffs. In career mode, the best players at the end of the year have a chance to win the FedExCup.
– Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) and the Amundi Evian Championship – In partnership with the LPGA, the EA SPORTS PGA TOUR will allow fans to compete in the Amundi Evian Championship, one of the LPGA’s five major tournaments, and have the opportunity to play as one of the many female athletes and create a female golfer from the revamped player creation feature. Players also have the opportunity to participate in a variety of LPGA Challenges and other events. Iona Stephen will join EA’s commentary team as the first female on-court in-game commentator and share insightful insights from her background as a professional player and golf commentator.
– Lifelike optics – EA SPORTS PGA TOUR will also feature the most realistic graphics ever seen in a golf game thanks to EA’s Frostbite game engine. Using state-of-the-art equipment like drone technology, helicopters with custom LIDAR sensors, and more to develop topographic maps, EA SPORTS PGA TOUR presents courses exactly as they appear in real life. Photogrammetry and scanners were also used to faithfully recreate the course’s clubhouses, iconic vegetation, bridges, tee markers, rock formations and other elements to give players the most realistic experience possible for their favorite courses.
– ShotLink – Powered by ShotLink powered by CDW, the PGA TOUR’s proprietary real-time scoring system since 2001, players are authentically recreated with player ratings, skills and realistic game events.
– TrackMan data – Insights from TrackMan, a global leader in 3D ball flight measurement and swing analysis, are an integral part of authentic playability using a variety of statistics including club settings, trajectory, landing position and more.
