According to the company, the Asiana Airlines plane landed safely at Daegu Airport. The plane took off from the South Korean island of Jeju for Daegu, 237 km from Seoul.

According to the authorities, the aircraft door opened shortly before landing. Video captured from inside the plane shows the door open while passengers are exposed to a strong draft. See below.

According to the Yonhap news agency, although some passengers were taken to the hospital, no one was injured.

An Asiana official said one passenger claimed to have touched the door handle.

“Police are investigating the incident after a passenger who was seated near the emergency exit said he touched the lever,” it said.
