(From Envoy Piero Spinucci) – Prime Minister Mario Draghi, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and French President Emmanuel Macron are on their way to Kyiv, where they will meet Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy tomorrow.
The three European leaders will deliver a strong message of solidarity to Zelenskyy and the Ukrainian people. A message of unity and full cohesion of European countries in condemning the invasion of Ukraine, sanctioning Russia and helping Kyiv.
During the visit, the various dimensions of the conflict will be discussed. There will be an inventory of the latest developments in the situation in Donbass, but also an analysis of the armed forces on the ground and in particular the Ukrainian army. Particular attention is paid to the thorny issue of unblocking Ukrainian grain exports and Kiev’s candidacy in the EU.
