Dorinda Medley reunites with a top restaurateur who says they had a “hot affair” in 1996

Dorinda Medley met its founder Keith McNally, a celebrity on the New York dining scene, at Balthazar over the weekend.

Keith, 70, on Monday posted a sweet Instagram snap of him snuggling up to Dorinda, 57, in a booth at his fancy Manhattan restaurant.

He wrote in the caption that he and the former New York City real-life housewife had “a torrid affair” for “3 intense months” in 1996 — while she was dating her first husband.

Met The Real Housewives of New York City star Dorinda Medley at Balthazar today. I hadn’t seen D since the spring of 1996 when we had a pretty torrid love affair for three intense months,” Keith wrote.

“It was weird seeing D. again, especially that she actually looked younger than the last time I saw her – 26 years ago,” he added sweetly.

Dorinda jumped into the comments and wrote, “And the story goes on,,,,” adding a hearts emoji over her eyes.

She married her first husband, Ralph Lynch, in 1995 and eventually moved with him to London, where he worked for Lehman Brothers.

The platinum blonde also pursued her own professional interests, starting a cashmere business with clientele that included Joan Collins and Princess Diana.

Dorinda separated from her first husband in 2005 and moved to America with her daughter Hannah, where she became a real estate agent.

The year she divorced Ralph, she married her second husband, Richard Medley, who had worked in politics and as an advisor to George Soros.

Richard died of liver failure in 2011 at the age of 60, four years before Dorinda rose to stardom with The Real Housewives Of New York City.

For years during her time as a reality TV personality, she dated John Mahdessian, who owns a cleaning and restoration company.

He made occasional appearances on The Real Housewives Of New York City during the seven years he dated Dorinda until their split in 2019.

Explaining the split on the show, Dorinda insisted that she would “always love John” and that there wasn’t “a big argument” but that she was “just doing a little reset.”

A few months ago, on her SiriusXM show Make It Nice With Dorinda Medley, she revealed, “I mean, I’m back together, can you imagine?”

She noted that she “didn’t even think about romance” during the coronavirus pandemic as “all I was thinking about was my grocery list” and learning recipes.

“But now I’m back and I, you know, I’m trying to get out of this. I’m open. I think 2022 is the year of love for me,” she said.

“I think dates are good. Being open to new people – even someone asked me a few weeks ago that I wasn’t quite like that – at first glance I was like, “Ugh, I’m not sure,” but I said yes. I come from a place of yes. I think: “Why not?”‘

Dorinda, who was born in the Berkshires, revealed, “Yes, I’m looking for that great kiss feeling again and I deserve a great kiss.”

She rose to international fame on The Real Housewives of New York City before being fired from the program in 2020 amid a flurry of rumors as to why.

However, she has now been brought back on board for the new series Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip.
