Donald Trump leads Ron DeSantis in the Republican primary





A poll of voting intentions for the Republican primary released Wednesday (18) showed that former US President Donald Trump was 17 percentage points ahead of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and 40 percent ahead of President Donald Trump’s former Vice President Mike pence, lies.

The poll of potential Republican voters conducted by the firm Morning Consult shows that Trump, so far the only candidate to have officially stated his intentions to vote in 2024, would be best placed in the elections for the nomination the Republican Party were now with, with 48% support accomplished.

DeSantis, who is expected to announce his candidacy in May, has 31%; pence, 8%; former Congresswoman Liz Chenney, 3%; former Governor and UN Ambassador Nikki Haley, 2%; and Sen. Ted Cruz, 2%.






The other possible candidates, including Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, each have 1%.

According to the poll, 77% of respondents have a positive opinion of the former President (20172021). Among Republican voters, 34% reported hearing positive news from Trump, while 33% reported negative information.

The poll was conducted Jan. 1416 of 3,763 prospective Republican primary voters and has a two percentage point margin of error.
