Dog and cat hug each other to keep warm

Not only with humans do animals have a great empathy.

Although we have heard several stories of dogs rescuing people, since the tragedy in Turkey and Syria, which has already claimed more than 41,000 lives, there are also animals helping each other during this very difficult time.

It is a dog and a cat. Big enemies in urban myth, but best friends in reality. After being rescued from the rubble of a building and losing their owners after earthquakes measuring 7.8 and 7.5 on the Richter scale, they couldn’t stop hugging each other.

In a video shared on social media, you can see both animals shivering in the cold and warming each other up with their bodies. The cat appears to be injured in the tail and left eye, as one of the comments shows.

This cat and dog survived the earthquake and are now keeping each other warm. Unfortunately, their humans did not survive.

31,643 people were confirmed dead in Turkey, 4,574 in Syria

Sincere condolences to all whose lives have been turned upside down by this unspeakable tragedy.

It wasn’t long before the post went viral with hundreds of people wanting the animals to be rescued and go to new homes: “This is so sad. I hope they get a new family,” wrote Suzan Delibasic, a reporter for an Australian newspaper.

There were even people who ran to hug their pets after seeing the video: “The fear in their eyes is killing me. I just want to hold them in my arms and tell them everything will be fine. Well I need to hug my dog…” read one comment.
