Does the chef agree? Brooklyn Beckham tastes the famous Wagyu from a renowned restaurateur

Brooklyn Beckham sampled acclaimed chef Hisato Hamada’s famous Wagyu with his wife Nicola Peltz when they visited his pop-up in Los Angeles on Friday.

David and Victoria Beckham’s son appeared deep in thought as he took a bite of the Japanese meat while the 27-year-old actress waited for his reaction.

Thankfully, Brooklyn, 23, seemed to agree, as restauranteur Hisato shared a photo of the couple on his Instagram, thanking the couple for joining him.

The expert, known as Wagyumafia, is currently on a US tour with celebrities flocking to enjoy his creations.

Brooklyn, who recently came under fire for using store-bought broth to make scouse soup, was seen with a huge grin as he chatted with Hisato at his table.

The pair then posed for a photo with the veteran Wagyu chef, who wrote over the snap, “Thanks my friends.”

The Beckham’s have already enjoyed their own pop-up dining experience with the Wagyumafia chef as they celebrated Brooklyn’s 21st birthday in style.

In 2020, Victoria, David, Nicola and his siblings – Romeo, 20, Cruise, 17, and Harper, 11 – were treated to an eleven-course meal prepared in front of them.

On the menu were the chef’s stunning £140 Wagyu steak sandwiches and a caviar-covered sushi basket.

It comes after Brooklyn once again received flak for his cooking videos after using store-bought broth to make Scouse soup.

The aspiring chef has recreated his version of the iconic soup, which can cost as little as £2 a portion.

The dish favored by the people of Liverpool, which is why they are known as ‘scouser’, is no doubt also ruffled by his father David, who played for rivals Manchester United during his footballing heyday have.

Brooklyn took to social media to share a video of his latest concoction, Scouse soup, which is made with budget-friendly ingredients like diced beef, potatoes, carrots and broth.

He penned the caption, “Scouses Soup x one of my favorite dishes” for the clip, which was dubbed Marvin Gaye’s How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You).

However, fans criticized the recipe in the comments, saying he should have made the soup from scratch and added more veggies.

One wrote: “Cardboard goods? Don’t get me wrong, I use it all the time, but a chef would never do that.’

Another agreed, writing: “Looks good. But if you enjoy cooking, consider making your own bone and vegetable broth. And make everything from scratch.’

A third said: “Literally no Scouse… all Liverpoolers roll their eyes”.

Brooklyn’s latest post came after he was branded “out of touch” by angry fans for using a luscious truffle ingredient to whip up a tagliatelle in his latest cooking tutorial.

In the video, Brooklyn also seemed to take inspiration from his dad with his top, as he wore a red England number seven shirt, which David himself inherited.

In the caption, he gushed about his love for truffles, which he used liberally to prepare the dish, writing, “There’s no such thing as too much truffle in my kitchen.”

But he was slammed for using the lavish ingredient by social media users, who claimed it was “untouched” amid a cost of living crisis.

According to 2021 estimates, the winter black truffle has an average price of $20.49 per ounce, while the burgundy black truffle is worth $24.93 per ounce and the summer black truffle is worth $22.57 per ounce. It is unknown what type of truffle Brooklyn used.

Earlier this week, fans claimed his vegan lasagna was “simple” and “lacked finesse” when criticizing his take on the Italian classic.

Brooklyn has mostly been cooking for Instagram videos in recent years while sharing basic tips on dishes like burgers and sandwiches with his followers.
