A young woman who has been missing in Mauricie for almost two weeks has been found with her spouse, a dangerous fugitive who is doubly wanted by police for robbery and armed assault.
Rose Milette, 23, was last seen in Saint-Boniface around 10am on October 21. The Sûreté du Québec is asking for the public’s help in locating her. His loved ones fear for his health and safety.
According to our information, she may be in the company of Jérémy Mongrain. The 24-year-old man, believed to be armed and dangerous, is currently wanted by Trois-Rivières police. On October 20, he allegedly opened fire at a person on Morrissette Street in the Cap-de-la-Madeleine sector. However, no one was injured.
Mongrain would then have continued his escape towards Laval, where he is the prime suspect in a robbery and gun possession case that occurred four days later.
Armed robbery
He would have pointed a firearm at a person who was buying a catalytic converter in a parking lot before stealing his wallet and some money. Three suspects are said to have fled in a vehicle before being arrested by police. However, Mongrain reportedly managed to escape on foot.
Two suspects, aged 26 and 29, were handcuffed. Therefore, the fugitive is still wanted by the Laval police.
Jérémy Mongrain has a long roadmap. It was he who was targeted for a $12,000 drug and money theft from René Kègle when the latter instead killed Ophélie Martin-Cyr, daily Le Nouvelliste reported.
The 19-year-old, who knew Mongrain, was Kègle’s third and final victim during his 2018 multi-day homicidal run in Mauricie. He was sentenced to life imprisonment with no possibility of parole for 20 years in this case.
Rose Milette is 1.63 m tall and weighs 59 kg. She has brown hair and green eyes. She would have a flower tattooed on her right wrist as well as a snake on her right hand.
She was last seen wearing a red Nike-branded cap, a light-colored hoodie and black leggings.
