Digital Platforms: Here are 5 movies where the heroes are in survival mode

Film artists and craftsmen know how to place heroes in situations where their lives are hanging by a thread. Suddenly, viewers are experiencing the full range of emotions they experienced alongside Tom Hanks alone in the world or Leonardo DiCaprio in The ghost. And there are plenty of other survival movies that make you break out in cold sweats…

The hungry

For a handful of people who have not been turned into zombies, before the attacks of the transformed residents of a small Quebec village, there seems to be only one way out: to flee into the forest. Luckily, Bonin (Marc-André Grondin) and Vézina (Didier Lucien) are used to getting up close and personal with bloodthirsty creatures… In order to “study humanity”, filmmaker Robin Aubert turned to zombies. A good dose of horror – and blood – that does not overshadow the hope that animates the director.

five long days That’s how long Aron Ralston’s ordeal lasted in the Utah Gorge. The climber, played by James Franco (Screaming Truth), got stuck alone in a ravine and his cries for help were in vain. A real nightmare in which death tempted him. The young man was therefore forced to make a heartbreaking but salutary decision. A striking gesture. Directed by Danny Boyle based on a true story.

Being one of the last survivors… Alarming or motivating? A father (Viggo Mortensen) and his son were spared a major upheaval 10 years ago in this post-apocalyptic tale that brings Cormac McCarthy’s novel to life. They must now contend with a depressing reality where hope hides when they have nowhere to go. The lack of living souls does not guarantee the absence of dangers and encounters to avoid. Despite everything, we must continue to believe in the future…

Available on Netflix.

Sometimes you end up in the wrong place at the wrong time. Also on vacation. A couple and their three children are unlucky enough to set foot in Thailand just two days before a tsunami hits. It’s December 24th and the magic of Christmas is in the air. But Mother Nature spoils the celebrations. The members of this lovely family are therefore separated. You have to pull yourself together and be brave, because the road will be long… A film that makes your heart beat faster.

Watch on Netflix.

Mad Max: The Road to Chaos

Fasten your seat belts; Mad Max (intensely Tom Hardy) prepares a trip to the desert. If some prefer to be supported to meet the dangers, it is exactly the opposite of the lone rider. Unfortunately, he is captured. He manages to escape and must quickly make a decision: continue his dangerous journey alone or join forces with strangers (including an empress played by Charlize Theron). It moves and swells to block!
