Dedé Santana says he received threats from a businessman in a circus dispute

Comedian Dedé Santana said he received threats from a businessman over a legal imbroglios related to buying a circus.

In an interview with TV Record’s Domingo Espetacular, businessman Alessandro Stênio Lestar denied the allegations and stated that Dedé had not made the full payment of R$600,000 as agreed.

The dispute began late last year when the comedian reached out to Lestar through a producer about hiring the circus.

“I said I would sell it. It was the idea that came to me at the time. I said I would sell it for R$600,000,” Lestar said of the report. “I sold it as is with all documentation up to date.”

The contract signed between the parties provided for the acquisition of the circus for an entry of R$ 200,000 and the rest in 11 installments. However, after paying more than half of the total sum, the entrepreneur had to transfer the vehicles used in the arena to the name of the buyer in this case the company that produced the Dedé circus.

Arthur Delgado, a lawyer for the circus, said this did not happen even after the agreed amount was transferred.

According to the lawyer, the vehicles were not in Lestar’s name either. Therefore, he filed a lawsuit to stay the contract, but the court did not grant the request, noting that the remaining installments were paid in court.

“Today we deposited more than R$300,000 into Mr. Alessandro’s checking account, we have the receipt. And more than R$200,000 deposited in court,” Delgado told Domingo Espetacular.

During this dispute, the businessman went to the place where the circus was located and recorded a video for social networks demanding payment from Dedé.

“I told him ‘I’ll be hired just like you,’ but it didn’t help. He wanted to threaten me, to scare me, actually like you, I was hired for a project that bore my name,” the comedian claimed.

Lestar confirmed the video was shot but denied threatening Dedé or any circus workers. “I went there madly, but I didn’t threaten anyone, I didn’t attack anyone.”
