Death of Libero De Rienzo, brakeman Mustafa Minte Lamin sentenced to 8 years in prison

The 32-year-old Gambier was convicted of drug trafficking but acquitted of the death of another crime

Sentenced to eight years Mustafa Mintelamin the 32-year-old from Gambia, who administered heroin to the protagonists of «Fortapasc” the actor Libero De Rienzo, who later died of an overdose. Minte Lamin, for whom the prosecutor had asked for 13 years, was found guilty of drug trafficking but acquitted of the manslaughter charge of another crime.

The facts are from July 2021 when the actor had been there found dead in his apartment on Via della Madonna del Riposo. Alone, without wife and children. From there, an investigation by the prosecutor’s office had begun, which had reconstructed the causes of death. De Rienzo had accepted heroin. Who gave it to him? The carabinieri had arrived mint lamin thanks to the contacts made on the actor’s smartphone and some testimonials.

At the negotiation Marcella Moscow, his wife and children had decided not to pursue a civil suit. Today the prosecutor spoke in the courtroom Francesco Minisci on the pusher’s sentencing motions: “Minte was fully aware of the fact that De Rienzo was a habitual drug user. So much so that when they arranged to meet, there was no need to ask for the actor’s address. The coroner’s and toxicologist’s reports are very clear on this point: De Rienzo did not die from previous illnesses, but simply from ingesting large amounts of heroin metabolites.”
