Speaking to US magazine Closer, he said: “Today we are amazing co-parents to our daughter Coco. This is really nice.”

The former actor-turned-wrestler also revealed that her daughter is doing well and recently got her first car as she learns to drive.

David is now married to Christina McLarty, 41, after they tied the knot in 2015 and the couple have since had two sons – Charlie, eight, and Augustus, five.

Courteney, on the other hand, has been in a long-term relationship with Snow Patrol musician Johnny McDaid since 2013, and they appear to be stronger than ever.

Speaking about his second marriage, David revealed that they have a close family unit and he feels fortunate to be married to such an amazing woman.

“My boys are just complete characters, both of them. I am so grateful to Christina. She’s sort of the brains of the operation. The woman behind the man,’ he said.

The Hollywood star began dating Entertainment Tonight correspondent Christina in 2011 after splitting from Courteney in 2010.

David insisted marriage was “hard work,” but he’s glad they’ve always found a way to get through tough times together.

He added: “It’s tough. You have to find out how you can really make it work with each other, listen to each other and allow each other to be yourself but also have your strong boundaries.’

The former couple starred for a fifth installment in the popular horror franchise last year, returning as characters Dewey Riley and Gail Weathers.

Speaking to The New York Times, David described dealing with Cox over 10 years later as “cathartic.”

“It’s a cathartic experience just being able to perform in front of Courteney. It’s 25 years of our lives. We grew up together. We have a child together.”
