Danny Bonaduce is on the mend after being struck down by a mysterious illness that affected his ability to speak and walk.

The 62-year-old radio DJ, best known for his role as Danny Partridge on the 1970s sitcom The Partridge Family, returned to KZOK in Seattle on Monday, where he co-hosted The Danny Bonaduce & Sarah Morning show is.

‘Great news. I’m live on the radio again this Monday. Can not Hardly Wait. My brain is still a bit fuzzy, but that never stopped me — or the people who hire me,” the actor announced via Instagram of returning to the studio.

The son of veteran television writer and producer Joseph Bonaduce shared information about his battle with the still-undiagnosed illness on Good Morning America.

He began treatment in April when his wife Amy first noticed he was speechless and immediately called for help.

“I couldn’t walk at all. I couldn’t balance. I couldn’t do such a thing. She looked really nervous. And she said, “You don’t say words, you don’t speak English,” which of course, to me, is absurd.

Doctors ruled out a stroke, but still don’t know why he suffered from the health problems.

While discussing his condition, he noted that he “couldn’t walk,” could keep his balance, slurred “really badly,” and had trouble remembering “anything.”

In April, the usually boisterous personality announced to his fans that he was stepping down to take care of his health, posting a picture with a cane.

“Some news to share – I’m taking a temporary medical break from my radio show. I’ll share more as I know more as I’m still working on getting a diagnosis,” he tweeted at the time.

He continued: “What I do know is that I need some time now to focus on my health. I love my job and talking to you guys and I will be back on the air very soon.

Bonaduce then added a self-deprecating joke about his walking stick when he quipped, “Charlie Chaplin, Willy Wonka, Danny Bonaduce. I joined the cool guys with sticks club.”

The beloved radio personality received a surge of support from fans including Johnathon Schaech and Selma Blair. He encourages his others to take care of their own health.
