Danielle Lloyd, 39, explains how she’s staying fit with her new healthy lifestyle

Danielle Lloyd has revealed she’s “feeling better than ever” as she enjoys a healthy and balanced lifestyle.

The 39-year-old model is known for her infamous party antics but now hits the gym four times a week and sticks to a keto diet.

While the mother-of-five also admitted she needs to “stay in shape” for her younger husband Michael O’Neill, 35.

Danielle is currently on a strict diet, limiting herself to a small amount of alcohol as she admits to “learning what to put in my body”.

She shares sons Archie, 12, Harry, 11, and George, 9, with ex-husband and former footballer Jamie O’Hara, 36. Whilst she has son Ronnie (5) and daughter Autumn with her second husband Michael (35) who is an electrician.

And after having children of her own, the star has explained that exercise has helped her own mental health and being a better mom.

She told The Sun: “I want to be a role model for my kids. I have a one year old and I need to be able to follow her because she is fast.

“And because I have a younger husband, I have to keep in shape for him,” added the beauty.

Often showing off her toned figure on sunny getaways and on social media, Danielle has retired from drinking to pursue better nutrition.

She continued: “In 2021 I haven’t had a drink for a whole year and it’s the best thing I’ve felt in my entire life. I don’t want to go completely abstinent because I like having a glass of wine with meals, but I’m balanced now.

“I’m trying to stick to a keto diet, which I’m really enjoying. I eat a lot of fish and occasionally treat myself to fries or mashed potatoes.”

Danielle rose to fame when she was stripped of the Miss Great Britain title after posing nude in Playboy magazine’s December 2006 issue – the title was later reinstated in 2010.

But she was no stranger to scandal and would often spend a wild night on the town with friends, fueled by alcohol and drugs.

Looking back, the star admits to being out of control at the time and even shares the toll it took on her mental health – leading to her “not wanting to be alive.”

After a stint in rehab at 24, Danielle has now traded boozy nights out for early beds.

She shared that while she enjoys dating her boyfriend, she makes sure they are home by 8pm so they can get some sleep before school gets underway in the morning.
