‘A much better choice of outfit’: Dancing On Ice’s Ekin-Su Culculoglu opts for a more conservative dress as she returns to the rink – after 112 Ofcom complaints last week
Dancing On Ice 2023’s John Fashanu became the first star in the line-up to be eliminated from the ITV series on Sunday night.
And subsequently, Ekin-Su Culculoglu, 29, opted for a more traditional outfit as she returned to the rink for the dreaded skate-off, which saw the judges save her over the 60-year-old English footballer.
Appearing to let her skating do the talking, the Love Island star slipped into a sparkling purple dress after the cheeky bodysuit sparked 112 Ofcom complaints last week.

The dress features a purple color block design as well as a peplum skirt that covers much of Ekin-Su’s stunning curves.
Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote: “Ekin-Su is effortlessly pretty and made a much better outfit choice this week. John [Fashanu] worked well for a 60 year old beginner but made the right decision’.
While others added, ‘The dress is stunning!’ and ‘Congratulations, you looked beautiful tonight’.

X Factor’s Jake Quickenden teased: “This was definitely better than just crawling around wasn’t it lol… Go ahead Ekin-Su.
Judges Ashley Banjo, Oti Mabuse, Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean all agreed and voted for Ekin-Su to remain in the competition as she “incorporates more technical skating into her routine”.
When asked by presenter Holly Willoughby if he enjoyed the experience or not, John replied: “Oh it was great,” before saying it was like the FA Cup final again.

Despite her best efforts, however, Ekin-Su faced further backlash after accidentally exposing her butt during the exercise.
As her dress rode all the way up to reveal her pink lingerie underneath.
Before the wardrobe malfunction told Ekin-Su about her troubled debut, telling host Holly Willoughby, 41, the uproar left her in tears.

Holly said: “Just wanting to find out how you’re doing, it’s a tough week knowing you have to face the skate off tonight.”
Ekin replied: “I’m not going to lie, I’ve been really upset and literally questioning myself for the last two days.”
She added: “I’m just like you know what’s stopping that crying Ekin, you’re strong, take what the judges say, work hard and I’m here today.”

The Love Island star recreated a memorable scene from the ITV2 reality show which saw her crawling on the floor, sparking over 100 Ofcom complaints from viewers who thought the routine was too racy for the family-friendly series.
Before the skate-off, she said, “I’m not going to lie, I was really upset about what I did wrong, but I’m strong, I have to work hard and prove myself.”
