Cuban President condemns US interference at Celac summit CMKX

Buenos Aires-. The United States insists on dividing us, stigmatizing us and subordinating us to its interests, Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel condemned today in his speech at the 7th Celac Summit in Argentina.

Speaking to delegations from 33 countries of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (Celac), the President warned of the dangerous escalation of actions aimed at maintaining imperialist hegemonism, multilateralism and peace in the region 200 years after the Monroe Proclamation threaten teaching.

In this vein, he criticized “the exclusive hemispheric gathering in Los Angeles, where (the United States) abused its power as host and closed its eyes and ears to the entitlement of the majority, (the United States) was left out, fractured and ignored.”

The political failure of this meeting shows the isolation of the domination strategy against the sense of unity and sovereignty that our nations share, he said.

Díaz-Canel advocated strengthening regional cooperation within the framework of Celac and defending Latin America’s independence.

The joy is completed by the full reintegration of Brazil by the decision of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, to whom we express our support and solidarity in the face of violent and anti-democratic acts aimed at creating chaos and disregarding the will of the majority of his people, he indicated.

There is an urgent need to close ranks and chart a strategic vision for economic, social and cultural integration that will enable us to move towards sustainable development, he added.
