Cuba reports 95 new cases of COVID 19

At the end of yesterday, August 9, a total of 683 patients were enrolled, 245 suspected and 438 confirmed active.

A total of 2,009 samples were collected for surveillance for COVID-19, of which 95 were positive with a positivity of 4.7%. The country collects 14 million 055 818 performed samples and 1 million 109 077 positives (7.9%).

Of the total number of cases, 95 were: 70 contacts of confirmed cases and 25 with no specified source of infection. Of the 95 cases diagnosed, 48 were female and 47 male.

4.2% (4) of the 95 positive cases were asymptomatic, for a total of 147,347, which represents 13.3% of the cases confirmed to date.

Of the 95 diagnosed cases, they belong to the age groups: under 20 years (63), 20 to 39 years (18), 40 to 59 years (3), and 60 years and older (11).
