At the end of this Tuesday, August 9, Cuba reported 95 new cases of COVID-19, no deaths and 103 medical discharges. There are currently 438 active casesreported the Ministry of Health (Minsap) this Wednesday in its daily part.
At the end of the day on Tuesday, 683 patients were enrolled: 245 suspects and 438 confirmed (active cases).
Of the 438 active cases, 431 have a stable clinical course.
Seven patients are being treated in intensive care, six in serious condition and one in critical condition.
2,009 samples were processed during the day, 95 of which were positive. The country has collected 14,055,818 processed samples with 1,109,077 positive samples.
Of the total cases (95):
–70 were contacts of confirmed cases.
–In 25 the source of infection was not specified.
–48 correspond to females and 47 to males.
– Four (4.2%) were asymptomatic at the time of diagnosis. 147,347 are cumulative, 13.3% of those confirmed so far.
–By age groups: under 20 years (63), 20 to 39 years (18), 40 to 59 years (3), 60 years and over (11).
No deaths from COVID-19 were reported this Tuesday.
Cuba accumulates 8,529 deaths with a case fatality rate of 0.77% (1.09% worldwide and 1.62% in America); two were evacuated and 57 returned to their countries.
103 medical discharges were recorded during the day, bringing the number of patients recovered from the disease to 1,100,051.
