Cuba developed a broad and intense agenda at Fitur 2023

HAVANA, Jan 21 (ACN) Cuba has developed a broad and intense work agenda during the International Tourism Fair (Fitur 2023) to pursue new projects to promote tourism in the country, Cuba’s Foreign Minister said today. Juan Carlos Garcia Granda.

We are proud to work for the benefit of tourism in Cuba, said the minister on Twitter, who headed the Cuban representation at the 43rd edition of Fitur, which will be held from January 18 to 22 at the Ifema exhibition center in Madrid, Spain , took place.

“We have developed a broad and intense work agenda during #Fitur2023 to pursue new projects to boost our tourism activities. We are proud to work for the benefit of #CubaUnica #tourism.”


The Cuban delegation presented at Fitur 2023 the novelties in the tourist offer of the largest of the Antilles, included in the Cuba Única campaign, to highlight the tourist assets that distinguish the Cuban archipelago from the rest of the destinations in the region.

Minister García Granda was responsible for presenting the campaign, which recognizes the hospitality of its people, safety, culture, gastronomy, nature and heritage as the country’s tourist strengths.


Cuba is more than sun and sand; We want to bet on cultural tourism, on event tourism, remarked the owner, pointing to the existence of infrastructure and accumulated experience in relation to MICE tourism (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events).

The Varadero Spa and its nocturnal revival was one of the main attractions of the Cuban stand at Fitur 2023, where the country’s most important hotel chains were represented, the Comercializadora de Servicios Médicos Cubanos SA and Cubadeportes, the latter in line with the launch of the Fitur Sports section, dedicated to sports tourism.

More than 130 nations gathered this year at the International Tourism Fair, which had Guatemala as the guest of honour.
