Cuba calls for the unity of the Non Aligned Movement

Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Cuba’s Foreign Minister, this Wednesday called on the Non-Aligned Countries Movement (NAM) to act with unity, cohesion, creativity and solidarity in defense of collective interests.

On his Twitter account, the Cuban foreign minister explained that the NAM must continue to strengthen itself as a diverse, inclusive and representative forum in the face of divisive and weakening hegemony movements.

“At the #UNGA77 NAM Ministerial Meeting on Global Post-Pandemic Recovery, I called for action with unity, cohesion, creativity and solidarity to defend our common interests. In the face of attempts at hegemony that undermine multilateralism and seek to divide and weaken us, the NAM must continue to strengthen itself as a diverse, inclusive and representative forum. #UNGA”.

Rodríguez Parrilla is leading the Cuban delegation at this meeting, the first face-to-face meeting since the Covid-19 pandemic, which will be attended by 150 heads of state and government and foreign ministers from around the world. (ACN)
