Covid 19: new upsurge in the epidemic

After a lull since early October, positive cases such as hospital admissions are picking up again in France.

Will this pandemic ever end? The question may seem legitimate given that the waves of Covid-19 have been consecutive since early 2020. When the worst of the crisis seems behind us, both the number of cases and hospital admissions have been rising again for ten days. The series of public holidays at the beginning of the month and the strike of the analytical laboratories (which no longer systematically report positive results) helped blur the readability of the indicators, but the recovery is very real. But will that ruin the optimistic forecasts for the coming months?

The virus is still actively circulating in France and around the world. Our country is not the only one affected by this recovery. Massive vaccination provides significant protection against severe forms of the disease, but this decreases over time. It is therefore normal for the epidemic phases to follow each other.
