Convicted felon Henry Tenon is arrested for the murder of Microsoft executive Jared Bridegan

The 61-year-old felon arrested for the murder of Microsoft executive Jared Bridegan today rented his Jacksonville home from Bridegan’s ex-wife’s new husband.

Henry Tenon is on remand on charges of second-degree murder and conspiracy to murder Bridegan’s February 16 murder. His arrest warrant is sealed, leaving many details of the case unclear.

However, police said at a news conference on Wednesday that he did not act alone and that they are continuing the investigation.

Tenon rented his home from Mario Fernandez, the new husband of Bridegan’s ex-wife Shanna. The couple sold the home in October 2022 — eight months after the murder and three months after Tenon was arrested for unrelated gun possession — for $174,000.

Neither Shanna nor Mario, who moved to Washington state from Florida, have been arrested.

According to the sheriff’s records, Tenon was arrested in August on unrelated gun charges. He’ll be brought before a judge tomorrow for murder.

“We know Henry Tenon did not act alone,” prosecutor Melissa Nelson said at a news conference today.

Bridegan was killed on February 16, 2022 while driving from Jacksonville Beach, Fla. to St. Augustine after dropping his nine-year-old twins with their mother. His two-year-old daughter Bexley was in the car at the time.

Tenon faces life in prison for second-degree murder. Prosecutors announced today that the case would go before a grand jury and that they hope he will face a first-degree murder charge.

In addition to conspiracy to commit murder and second-degree murder, Tenon was charged with child molestation. It stems from Bridegan’s two-year-old daughter being in the vehicle when he was killed.

Tenon was arrested by the same police department last August on charges of possession of a weapon despite being a convicted felon and driving without a license.

His previous offenses include traffic violations such as multiple driving with a suspended driver’s license, as well as assault and domestic violence charges.

His lengthy arrest record dates back to the mid-1990s.

Jared was ambushed by his killer, who had placed a tire in the middle of the road to ensure he would stop, get out of the car and run towards it.

The murder was supposed to happen on a section of a residential street where there were no security cameras or ring doorbell cameras.

Bridegan and his ex, 35, divorced in 2016 but were still feuding over finances and custody at the time of his death.

Last year his widow, Kirsten Bridegan, was told to keep quiet about who she thought might have killed him.

She would not allow her twins to attend the memorial service held for Bridegan by his family, and instead hosted her own farewell to him.

Kirsten, Bridegan’s widow, told in an interview last April that he had “mostly no enemies”.

After his death, Shanna and her new partner – Mario Fernandez, 33, – moved across the country from Florida to Washington State.

It’s unclear how she and Mario met. He was previously reported to police for animal cruelty after shooting a cat with a BB gun.

Shanna, who is now covered in tattoos, has been strict and has declined to comment on the case.

Last April, Kirsten – Jared’s second wife – didn’t want to know if there were any issues between Jared and his ex-wife, who is remarried and runs a local bakery.

“I definitely don’t feel like this is the right time or place for me to talk about someone else’s relationship. I know what my relationship with him was like and I miss that.

“My husband was a very popular man with most people in his life. He did everything for friends, neighbors, children.

“Whoever did this, whoever is behind this is just evil and mean and I hope we can find him and put him behind bars if he doesn’t hurt us or others,” she said.

She added that he has “for the most part” no enemies. They were married for four years and met through a dating app.

It has since been claimed that the marriage ended when Shanna had an affair with her personal trainer.

She denied that claim, but the trainer says their relationship has become romantic.

Seven years before his death, in 2015, she had also asked someone at a local tattoo parlor if they knew anyone who would help them “shut up their husband.”

She insisted it was a joke and that she didn’t mean it as a threat.
