The content of certain publications that can be found on one of the Twitter accounts of the candidate who wants to become an MP really has nothing to do with Parliament.

When his boss, Éric Duhaime, presented his candidacy, it was mentioned that Mr Kadri worked in his father’s car sales business in Buckingham in the Outaouais. He hid that in a previous life he had been an animator specializing in rap and went by the pseudonym DJ-Kay-D.

DJ-Kay-D was very active on social media, especially in 2016. A video shot in an Atlanta bar shows a nude dancer in action, images with the word “bitch.”

In one photo, the words “DJ-Kay-D” appear on the oversized breasts of a woman whose face is not visible.

Another post on his Twitter feed shows a shirtless black man carrying a baby and a gun in his belt. Below the image reads, “The bitch wants my meat,” a nod to the man’s gender. This photo actually shows the album L’homme au bob by Gradur, a well-known French rapper. His song Beef multiplies demeaning remarks about women.

“mad youth”

In a phone interview with The Canadian Press on Thursday, the 30-year-old Conservative candidate expressed despondency. He apologized that it was all far behind him, “juvenile madness,” he said, stressing that he had the greatest respect for women.

He says he distances himself completely and unreservedly from the values that these images and words seem to convey.

“I didn’t want anyone to see that,” admits Mr Kadri, who had to replace his father Michel Kadri at short notice after the latter’s recent health problems prevented him from campaigning.

“It’s really not the image I want people to make me,” says the candidate, who wants to clear up this part of his past.

He stopped playing “DJ” two or three years ago and claims to have tried many times to close this account but to no avail. He has since settled down, married and fathered a child.

About the video that we see him in, which was filmed in a strip club, he says that his role was limited to composing the accompanying music.

The candidate did not consider it appropriate to inform the party that there might be publications from his social networks during the election campaign.

On his account we can also read the word that begins with “n” and the one that begins with “f” several times.

You can also read phrases like: “Never do anyone a favor. live for you Because when it’s your turn, nobody’s going to do you any favors. »

Mr Kadri is also close to Dave Leduc, a Burmese boxing champion who is known for his videos showing his bitter fight against sanitation measures. Several photos show them side by side.

The two men are also professionally connected. Dave Leduc sponsors certain of Mr Kadri’s activities, but he assures them they don’t necessarily have “the same ideas” on all issues.
