Cody Simpson reaches out to friend Justin Bieber after being diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome that causes facial paralysis: ‘You’re an inspiration’
Australian singer and swimmer Cody Simpson has shared a sweet message with friend Justin Bieber amid his battle with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome.
On Wednesday, the 25-year-old posted a picture of the couple from their younger days hanging out at a recording studio in the US and told Justin, 28, to “get well soon”.
Ramsay Hunt syndrome is a complication of shingles that can cause temporary facial paralysis.
Cody Simpson shared a heartfelt message with pal Justin Bieber on Wednesday after he was diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, which causes facial paralysis: “You are an inspiration to everyone.”
The 28-year-old pop star previously revealed his diagnosis in a three-minute video he posted to Instagram on Friday after canceling dates for his Justice World Tour amid the illness.

On Monday, Justin gave fans an update on his health, citing his beliefs that are helping him get through his struggle.
“At this point in my life, I realize storms come and go,” the Canadian pop star said in the caption. “Jesus keeps reminding me that He is with me in the middle of the storm. It’s not about the storm. It’s that we are NEVER ALONE AND HE UNDERSTANDS.’

In a message he posted, the Peaches singer said that “every day has gotten better and has overcome all the discomfort [he has] found solace in the one who designed [him] and white [him].’
“That perspective has given me peace during this terrible storm I’m facing,” he said. ‘I know this storm will pass, but in the meantime JESUS IS WITH ME.’
According to the Mayo Clinic, the hearing loss and facial paralysis associated with Ramsay Hunt syndrome are temporary but can become permanent.
