Clemson, Kansas are making big strides

Clemson cemented his run into the college football playoffs with Saturday night’s win over NC State and is a major mover in the updated Week 6 bowl projections. The Kansas Jayhawks, who have not made the postseason since 2008, are behind a 14-11 win over Iowa State just one win away.

Quarterback Jalon Daniels continued his coming-out party nationally and was one of the nation’s most valuable players, adding a touchdown to his Big 12 lead total this season. The Tigers and Jayhawks are red hot, joining other undefeated TCU and UCLA in the rankings and bowl predictions this week, each with impressive wins in national competitions.

Oklahoma has struggled in its last two games under first-year coach Brent Venables, giving up 96 total points to start its Big 12 season without a win. The Sooners were supposed to be coming to a bowl game this fall, but this week’s prediction falls far short of New Year’s Six expectations of that program a few weeks ago.
