It was Lambert Avocats that filed this class action complaint on November 29th.

The plaintiff, Olivier Phanor, alleges that Croisières AML added mandatory surcharges when purchasing tickets for a cruise or excursion.

“The next step will be to post notices to seek out as many potential members as possible. Over three years, these are estimated in the hundreds of thousands considering Defendant claimed to welcome approximately 600,000 people a year onto its fleets,” the law firm indicated via email to the QMI agency.

The class action lawsuit is directed at “any consumer who, since June 12, 2018, has paid a higher than advertised price for a cruise offered by the defendants.”

All those affected could thus obtain compensatory and punitive damages for the plaintiff in the event of a victory.
