We reported last night on the tragic event of the death of Jay Briscoe, Ring of Honor wrestler of which he was a Veteran and World Tag Team Champion. The circumstances of the former ROH World Champion’s death have not yet been released, but we now know that Jay Briscoe was involved in a car accident that occurred at 5:30 p.m. local time (11:30 p.m. local time, Italian) in Laurel, Delaware, took place.
According to Ringside News colleagues, Jay Briscoe and one of his daughters were returning from a cheerleading competition when they were involved in the accident. The 38-year-old wrestler and a woman were sadly killed in the accident, while Jay Briscoe’s daughter and a fourth person were defined as “in critical condition” in records from health workers who stepped in to provide assistance.
