Christina Applegate laughs at ‘bad’ plastic surgery accusation: ‘What’s wrong with people’

Christina Applegate hit back on Tuesday after someone accused her of having “bad” plastic surgery.

“Sooooo I made the unfortunate decision to check out some comments on an article in People magazine about me and my kids at the CCA,” the actress wrote on Twitter.

Applegate attended the Critics Choice Awards on Sunday when she was nominated for Best Actress in a Comedy Series. While the actress didn’t share what the person originally said, she did reveal that she replied that it was “not nice.”

“That was her response,” Applegate wrote, along with a screenshot of the commenter’s response. “What’s the matter with the people? By the way, I laughed,” added the actress.

The commenter had replied: “Frau didn’t make you look like a plastic surgeon did. And you are a scammer and you are not [Christina] Applegate.”

“And a bad plastic surgeon to boot.”

The actress also dedicated her manicure to her series Dead to Me. Applegate wore a dark paint with the words “Jen” and “Judy” painted on it in honor of her and Linda Cardellini’s characters.

She was nominated for Best Actress in a Comedy Series for her portrayal of Jen Harding on the Netflix show.

Applegate announced that she had been diagnosed with MS in August 2021.

“Hello friends. I was diagnosed with MS a few months ago,” she wrote on Twitter at the time.

“It was a strange journey. But I’ve had enough support from people to know they have this disease too,” Applegate continued. “It’s been a tough road. But, as we all know, the road goes on. Unless a hole blocks it.”

In a separate tweet, she added: “As one of my friends with MS put it, ‘We’re waking up and taking the necessary action.’ And I do.”
