Chontel Duncan’s day on a plate

Meal one: Two slices of Vegemite toast with butter and cheese along with a macadamia milk latte and a chocolate fudge protein shake

Second Meal: Three corn on the cob with tzatziki, spinach, peppers and small slices of tomato

Meal Three: Tofu Satay Skillet with Brown Rice

Meal four: YoPro yogurt

Meal Five: Whole Wheat Chicken Two-Minute Noodles

Meal Six: Chocolate Protein Shake

Meal seven: Tofu and cashew stir fry with brown rice

Meal Eight: Mars Bar Ice Cream

The mother of five relies on a high-protein diet packed with complex carbohydrates and high-energy meals to stay lean.

Eating healthy has helped her recover after suffering from Covid, breaking her foot and struggling with sleep deprivation.

However, she does not give up a bit of what she loves and regularly enjoys a Mars Bar ice cream after meals.

A typical day on Chontel’s plate starts with two slices of Vegemite toast with butter and cheese along with a macadamia milk latte and a chocolate fudge protein shake.

This is then followed by three corn on the cob with tzatziki, spinach, peppers and sliced baby tomatoes before a third meal of stir-fried tofu satay with brown rice.

Chontel munches on a high-protein YoPro yogurt before settling on whole wheat chicken two-minute pasta, a chocolate protein shake, and another meal of tofu and cashew stir fry with brown rice.

The 33-year-old rounds off the day with a small Mars Bar ice cream.

Taking to Instagram, Chontel admitted that she “gets bored quickly” of eating the same food on a regular basis, so her “day on a plate” changes often.

“As a busy mom, I find diet is the first thing I sacrifice. I can easily forget to eat in the first half of the day and by the afternoon I’m starving like a wild animal. Which then leads to me eating my entire body weight in food,” Chontel wrote.

“OR I buy high-sugar processed foods from the coffee drive-through.

“My goal is to get back into a routine, prioritize my needs and keep my body energized, especially when living on minimal sleep.”

Along with her unusual approach to nutrition, Chontel also does a lot of HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) workouts.

HIIT workouts consist of short bouts of intense exercise, lasting between 10 and 60 seconds, repeated multiple times.

Typical moves in her sequences include weighted squats, lunges, high knees, and burpees.

Chontel said she loves working out and tries to do it even when she doesn’t feel like it.

She said that while it may feel like a whole lot of effort when you’re tired, angry, or busy, once you start exercising, you’ll feel “100 times better.”

In addition to her unusual approach to nutrition, Chontel (pictured) does between four and five HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) workouts each week.
