The bank transfer arrived just before the start of the Sanremo Festival. Around nine thousand euros – the maximum possible limit – sent to the company Fenice Srl by Chiara Ferragni of the Ministry of Economic Development by Unioncamere. A small amount of State aid, thus classified in the National Aid Register as a contribution by the Italian State to the Internationalization of the brand by the company of which Ferragni is a shareholder and director. As the executive order of January 25 explains, the contribution of 9 thousand euros it is part of the procedure for “de minimis” loans to Italian small and medium-sized enterprises. Ferragni applied after the call in October and received the maximum possible amount. This is a trifle compared both to the Ferragni Group as a whole and to the financial statements of Fenice itself, which closed the last known year (2021) with a turnover of more than 7 million euros and a profit of 1.9 million euros thanks to proprietary commercial licenses in apparel, footwear, accessories and jewelry.
Ferragni competed like any other competitor in the bid and had no privileged path, and it’s now not uncommon for even companies with thriving balance sheets and high-income entrepreneurs to tap the treasury for even a small helping hand, as in this one Case. On the other hand, it is not the first time that the Italian government has heard a knock and found Ferragni himself in front of it when opening. The phoenix itself had done it twice more during the pandemicby taking advantage of the liquidity decree issued by Giuseppe Conte to request a direct guarantee from the State for two loans requested from Banca del Mezzogiorno – Mediocredito Centrale spa.
The first public guarantee was obtained for a loan from 24,996.96 euros, the second to a much more significant amount: 1.4 million euros. More help always during the pandemic (application from 1.12.2021) as tax relief 7,900 Euro was requested and received by another company in the Ferragni galaxy: Tbs Crew srl. Fedez also showed up at the door Ferragni knocked on and applied to his mother-run parent company ZDF last November 26 for a mini-tax exemption for one of the company’s employees, which he was granted 1,791.16 euros. The previous year, the same company had applied to the Revenue Agency for and received a tax rebate on the IRAP granted 45,706 euros.
